Animal Alliance is based in Lambertville.
Animal Alliance has had the pleasure of working with Nassau Animal Hospital for the last 11 years, since Dr. Garruba first opened his doors. Besides being a wonderful, compassionate and skilled veterinarian, Dr. Garruba has a heart of gold, and is always beyond kind and generous, to all the rescued animals from our agency, as well as the dogs and cats from many other local rescue groups. Our favorite part about Nassau Animal Hospital is the people -- a delightful group of talented, friendly and warm people who genuinely care about animals. Nassau Animal Hospital has a warm and cozy feel to it, never a sterile and cold environment, like some other vet practices. The reception staff is kind and accommodating and will always work you into the schedule if you have a pet with an urgent issue.
Nassau Animal Hospital provides a full range of care to our pets awaiting adoption including basic healthcare (vaccines, dewormings, etc.), diagnosis and treatment of illness, and surgery as needed (spay/neuter, etc.). I remember one time we rescued a dog from the shelter who that was very sick and Dr. Garruba took her home with him. That's just the kind of man he is.
The associate vets are also amazing. Dr. Lesley Vannerson has fostered many dogs for Animal Alliance over the years, and brought home plenty of sick cases to nurse back to health. She is a crackerjack diagnostician and can figure out what is causing any ailment. She is a fast , efficient and talented surgeon. Dr. Amy Villano is friendly, easy to work with and really loves animals.
We recommend Nassau Animal Hospital all the time to our adopters, and we bring our own pets there too! -Anne Trinkle, Executive Director, Animal Alliance of New Jersey & Planned Pethood Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic
