Dr. Lesley Vannerson received her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in 1988. She then went on to earn a degree in Veterinary medicine, from Cornell University in 1992... Dr. Vannerson worked at a companion and farm animal practice in New York State for several years. She later moved back to New Jersey and began practicing small animal and exotic animal medicine for seven years. She joined the Nassau Animal Hospital staff in 2001. Dr. Vannerson is an accredited member of the AVMA (https://www.avma.org/Pages/home.aspx) in New York and New Jersey and attends the NAV Conference (http://navc.com/) annually to continue her education and learning.She loves the variety of general practice and enjoys meeting the people and pets at Nassau Animal Hospital. Her special interests are in surgery, rescue, and shelter medicine. Along with dogs and cats, she enjoys working with rabbits, guinea pigs and other small exotics. She and her son share their home with two dogs, Lola and Alfredo, a cockatiel and a goldfish.
